Studio 73 is a growing social enterprise sponsored by the Community Living Society. The Studio provides employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities who want to express their creative vision in a meaningful way, that also provides them with a source of income. For these artists, working at the studio has fostered self-confidence, social development and relationships, as well as enabled them to learn new skills and talents. The artists produce beautiful and functional glassware, decorative pieces and wearable art using techniques of molding and fusing to bring these original designs to life. Support is provided to learn the necessary skills involved in taking one of these pieces from start to finish.
Currently the artists sell their products at their studio in Surrey BC. They also display and sell their products at art shows and galleries around the Lower Mainland. Many businesses have asked if the artists could bring their products to their locations so that their staff can have the opportunity to purchase items during their coffee and lunch breaks. We have received great feedback from our hosts, "It was great to see the artists from Studio Seventy Three proudly selling their beautiful glass work and it's great that they can come in just before Mother's Day and Christmas. We can get our shopping done during our coffee break!" (Karen Taylor, ASTTBC). Studio Seventy Three also attends Home Shows. You can invite your friends and family to your home and we'll happily bring our products there to display and sell.
If you are interested in having us come to you with our products please give us a call or visit our contact page and we'd be more than happy to arrange something with you!
