CLS believes that all people have the ability and the right to fully participate in, and contribute to, their communities. We work with individuals and their family members to design the type and amount of support needed to help increase independence and realize dreams.

CLS supports are intended to complement, not replace the natural supports provided by family, friends and community members. The CLS support team acts as a bridge for people with disability to make new friends learn the skills needed to get meaningful work live more independently and achieve personal goals.

Founded in the late 1970’s by a group of family members of children with disability, CLS combines the values, leadership and advocacy of our past, with innovative and individual approaches to providing residential and community inclusion support services.

Everyone has gifts. Everyone has dreams. Everyone deserves a full life. For more information, visit our web site:

Studio 73 in Surrey, BC is a growing social enterprise supported by the Community Living Society. The Studio provides employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities who want to express their creative vision in a meaningful way that also provides them with an income.  For these artists working at the studio has fostered self-confidence, social development, and relationships as well as enabled them to learn new skills. The artists produce beautiful and functional glassware, decorative pieces and wearable art using techniques of molding and fusing to bring these original designs to life. Support is provided to learn the necessary skills involved in taking one of these pieces from start to finish.

Currently the artists sell their products at their studio located at 112-7320 137th Surrey in Surrey BC. They also display and sell their products at art shows and galleries around the Lower Mainland. Many businesses have asked if the artists could bring their products to their locations so that their staff can have the opportunity to purchase items during their coffee and lunch breaks. We have received great feedback from our hosts, "It was great to see the artists from Studio Seventy Three proudly selling their beautiful glass work and it's great that they come in just before Mother's Day and Christmas. We can get our shopping done during our coffee break!" (Karen Taylor, ASTTBC). Studio Seventy Three also attends Home Shows, where you can invite your friends and family to your home and we will bring our products there to display and sell.

*If you are interested in a home show or would like us to come by your work location with our Studio Seventy Three products please give us a call or use our visit our contact page and we'd be happy to talk to you about this great opportunity*
